Style it up like a princess.

Every girl either ever wanted or still want to be a princess. Do not deny it! Lol
What about me, is that sometimes I do want to look like one. And this yellow flyaway and floaty vintage shirt with whimsical neckline and cute lapels really inspired to continue my look in a gracefull way. Ofcourse, I didn't have a fabulous crinoline,a stiffening bone corset and luxurious jewels that would conjure a legit princess! But the lapelled ankle-length strides from Bebe and grey velvet wedgy heels emphasized a super feminine feature of my outfit and at the same time dispensed a streamlined modern twist to that. And my favorite handmade statement necklace balanced the girly cutessy and sharpness with its moderate sophistication. What can I say, I enjoyed wearing a princess attitude over my clothes more than everything , haah. Girls, you are princesses!;-)

Style, Me and a spring mood.

This February in Charlotte is odd nowadays, haha. One day you get snowstorms, another - sunlit warm days. The days that hark us back to joyful spring days memories and make us want it back into our busy lives. And we almost made it to spring! One more week and we officially will be introduced to spring blossom and...breezy light outfits. We will be swapping thick and heavy outcoats and sweaters for thin, airy pieces, that keep on hitting higher and higher numbers in our closets. Well, at least in my closet. Lol. That is how badly I want spring!
So my last Friday was brimming with elements of spring mood. First of all, I chose one piece of lighter texture, my heart-scattered floaty pastel pink shirt from Marisol, and paired it with sturdier flower print shorts from Sans Souci. I wore it with over-the-knee burgundy stockings from Urban Outfitters and a simple black hat. The center of attention of the look was meant to be my signature design statement necklace. It added a sleek and polished finish to my look and put it up from a pretty-girl style to on-the-edge-of-light-elegance level. The fact that jewelry and accessories can transform the entire outfit into a chic set was proved again.
Enjoy your spring expectations , darlings !

Spring around my neck.

I started this day with an urge to be elegant, a tad frivolous and creative. I discovered a pair of H&M midnight blue sparkle-strewn texture high-waisted strides in my closet, that awaited its turn to leave a stylish mark in the "history of my outfitology". Seriously, I had a lack of consideration for them by nor wearing them at all! So, then I teamed these lovely twinkly pants with a black Topshop long sleeve and a pair of vintage     pointy-toes heels. And to balance the darkness of the look I deployed a dollop of floral flawlessness embodied in that signature design necklace, result of my tedious work for the last week. This artwork really made me feel proud of myself as a jewelry maker, or just as a creative person. I managed to infuse this statement necklace with a divine spring spirit that makes me dream of a wonderful spring time, which is going to pay a visit to in less than two weeks.
And as a look finish I added a smart hat to my slouchy elegance.

Slouchy vs. chic.

This Saturday makes everything around melt and shine with its bright skies and mild sun. Today I wanted to feel at ease and comfy, but elegant. Nothing makes it more slouchy sleek than a stonewashed old gargantuan denim jacket over a polished dusty green blouse. I belted it to streamline the look and to provide specificity of shape. Light burgundy skinnies added a good colour accent to the pale shades of the outfit, and made it a dominant color. In general, I reached the target, I mastered up the simple chic of the look through slouchiness.

My superb VD outfit.

Hello there, valentines! I hope everybody had a wonderful day of love. As for me, it was spellbinding. Not simply because I nailed down boldness of my outfit and had it lensed perfectly, but because my mr. Right made my heart shine bright like a diamond.
But I am not here to talk about lovey-dovey things. I am hear to talk and showcase street style of a vintage-lover:-)
Deep ocean blue shirt was refined by my signature design necklace, intricately embellished with glass and metal beads, and slouchily tucked in the shorts. Flower-strewn lace leggings provided a sheer but audacious note to the whole outfit, and my favorite Harley Davidson boots made a pretty edgy statement that put the whole outfit on the level of rock chick chic. Thank you, vintage stores for inspiring me and satisfying my crave for stylish mess!

Lucite inspiration

Boyfriend clothes transformation.

In order to escape boredom at work, I often try to be creative in whatever way is possible about my outfit, refining, styling up, spycing up, etc.  Even when I do not have " material" to work with, jewelry, accessories, I find a way to conjure from whatever I have on, which can be the most plain and boring piece ever. This time, my "victim" of upcycling was my husband's gigantic hoodie, that happened to be with me. What I did was a simple criss-cross draping around my hips, that visually elevated my work look. That approach , in its turn, provided a pretty futuristic twist and turned that oversized hoodie into a talking-point piece. It didn't come out as perfect as I wanted that to be, but it inspired me for the further improvisation and play with clothes , especially my husbands hoodies (watch out, dear)! So my next goal is to master that idea to its maximum, deploying more subtelty, feminine chic and contemporary approach. See u laterrrr

Sunday is a day of sun and summer anticipation.

Believe it or not, but it's February in Charlotte,NC. Today's light vibes really inspired me for some sheer and airy summer accent, which I expressed in this interesting tiger-print texture vintage 1/4 sleeve blouse. I accentuated my waistline with string instead of a belt for more sensual emphasize. I know that the sun today was way too generous, that it dissolved the whole me in its joyful shine, and it filled with an incredible summertime anticipation. Even though I am really into summer heat at all, haah. But this amazingly pleasant day and the stylish vintage outfit made me yearn for tender summer evenings, when the sun just started to set down, taking a part of that unbearable hear with itself. Have a great rest of Sunday and a more great week:-)

Magic hat.

I am always wondering if there are things that do not go well with hats. I never can find anything in my closet that wouldn't get elegantly elevated by a hat. It is just universally versatile! Whatever I wear, a hat, added as a finishing touch, provides a sensual feminine effect to my look. It either smoothens a bold selection of garments or, on the contrary, brings the edginess to a subtle outfit.
So, today , this " magical" accessory visually dissolved simplicity backbone of my all-black ( or almost all, if not paying any attention to a green olive accent, peering out from the overall darkness, lol) outfit.  It added a little bit of casualty and smartness to my adolescent vintage look.
And, ofcourse , this day look couldn't go through without a smattering of bold jewelry, a metal cuff and a sterling silver reiterating element bracelet.

Gilded glamour all day long.

The type of winter days that fill my life with sulky grayness and cold, I yearn for, at least , a little of shine. I want to dispense with thick dark attire, and reveal myself to superb shine! I would not, for sure, turn myself into a golden fish that would beblind the entire universe ( hell, no!), but would try to master the key accents of the look, applying golden elements. Just the way I did when I was trying to build the look. For a chic glamourous update of my black-base look I wore a golden finely pleated skirt,a  shirt with rhinestones-strewn palm trees design and a finishing accent was put by gilded pendant, chains and bangles. The entire outfit was sharpened by my favorite Harley Davidson rough booties.
That is how I turned down the grayness of the day with this sweet ensemble:-)
